For Kate's By Hope project.
I wrote and recorded this for the project and then realised that it didn't quite fit in with what Kate had asked for. I kinda just began rambling about hope really. So this is just a tester, I guess. The real By Hope record is on its way soon.
"Hope is an idea that dangles like an out of focus polaroid photo. It's the vivid dream that winds its way into your breakfast cereal and replays throughout your day, in your head, like humming bird's wings. Hope can be small and hope can be big, but no one really cares about it's size. It's existence is enough. Hope is an old-fashioned aeroplane with those propellers that need starting by hand. It takes one working hand to inspire hope and then you're up in the sky. Hope lives in the bottom of the glass you keep your toothbrush in, and if you brush just right, you will start the day thinking that there is nothing you can't do, when you have hope. The part about hope is that it's invisible. Most people don't know where it is, don't know where to find it, don't even think it exists. Hope is not the tooth fairy. Hope is one step at a time, left right left right, all aboard and away we go. Hope is there. Hope is beautiful. I hope, therefore I am."
