There aren’t flying cars or hover boards. No designer babies or mutant humans with super powers. But doesn’t it feel like we’re living in the future? We’ve got tiny computers and cloned animals. We’re connected to more than a billion people because of the internet. It’s scary and exciting at the same time? Does anyone else feel this way? We’re living in the future. We might not have flying cars or hover boards, but we’ve got vending machines where you can customize a pizza and have it ready in less than ten minutes. Kids born now won’t know what a cassette tape is or what the world was like without the internet. I remember dial up. I remember dreading when someone needed to use the house phone, but now we don’t have to worry about that. The future’s here and now in the present.
