Prunus Cerasus

Every night, I thought, "Not yet..."

But now,

"Should I let the lion eat

Away

At my own sheep's innocence?"

His charming smile tricks me

Into

His arms, his hands caressing

My back,

Kisses tickling my neck.

Butterflies fill my pale

Stomach.

The only light from between

Curtains

Now not enough to see him.

Grasping my waist, he whispers,

"I love..."

The 'you,' barely audible,

Hanging

In the air, the sheep slaughtered.
