Their eyes stared expectantly back at me as I sat there in silence. My hands clasped together as I looked at the faces around the table. My legs trembled ever so slightly under the table as the mechanics in my brain strained to churn an answer. I stared at the cream coloured card before me. 'What was your biggest secret?'

It was a table topic, picked up randomly from the box. I knew there was a reason why I didn't like this game or why I never played it. It was too much like Truth or Dare. I was never the person who played these games. Or any games at all for that matter.

As I sat before the panel of judges, my mind scanned through the folder marked 'Secrets.' There was the time of my first love. I never told my parents honestly that their 16 year old experienced her first love then. There was the sneaking out of the house part to meet up with friends. Then... there was the time when I lost my virginity and how I  didn't seem reluctant or tried to stop it from happening. My parents still think I'm their innocent little child. Then... there was jealousy, anger, hatred, greed, vanity... and the list goes on.

As their eyes pierced deeper into my soul, I felt myself speechless. My recent secret... I fell for the friend whom I deemed to be one of my best friends. There he was sitting before me, waiting for an answer with the rest. I stared back into his eyes and felt the fear rising within me and my cheeks flushed.
