You were with me once again. You clutched my hand like you used to, and you looked at me as though I were heavens. We smiled. I swore I could smell the scent from your hair brush against my face. You were wearing a sundress you once told me about, one hadn't seen before. It was white with yellow flowers, much like the ones that lined the sidewalks we passed by. I kissed you in the parking lot like I'd wanted to before. You could have hid wings beneath the soft glow of sunlight on your back.
and when I fell into consciousness again, the imprint in my bed cracked the surface of the waking world, carving canyons into the the very thought of you.
