*(author's note: i wrote this for a poetry project for english at 6 am after pulling an all-nighter... and actually kind of liked the poem. kind of based it on the style of e.e. cummings. so, here ya go.)
linked by a technologic heart
i hear your voice crackle through the dead zones
step back into service
i miss you
i want to miss you
so that when you receive my message
you will realize that computers aren’t so great.
this l.e.d. glow pollutes me more everyday
because well i just can’t stop thinking about you
i feel like i have reverse alzheimer’s:
i remember everything you say/do/(don’t do?)
typing is not the same as touching,
talking is not always a conversation.
i want to embrace you
with my technologic heart.
