Night After Night (Poem)

Cover Image

Night after night, from the closet, came a sound

A little girl would wake, and she would look around

Monsters emerged from the darkness and dread

Little did they know that they would soon be dead

And night after night, the little girl swung her axe

Until all those demons stopped cold in their tracks

But every so often, the closet door opens wide

And the little girl laughs when she sees what's inside

We've all had nightmares, but she's had more

You can tell by the blood that stains her floor
