Metropolis-Berlinale 2010

Berlinale 2010.
First showing of Fritz Lang's reconstructed and restored version of Metropolis at the Brandenburg Gate.

It was pretty cold that night (around -5°C/23°F) but the place was still packed with more than 3 thousend people. Curious to see the first screening of this version. A few of them were even brave enough to sit down (while everything was covered in snow).

It's not a high quality picture because it was pretty dark but I like the picture anyway because I'll never forget this moment. It was a very special night. No one expected so many people especially since they aired this version on telly as well :)
