"it's only sky?"

By blbest

"it's hollow, above"
she said,
speaking as though
the heavens were
the abandon cellars,
of victorian homes
that lined the streets
we once rode our bikes down;

"you're a selfish, girl."
i replied.

"then you agree?"
she responded, her eyes
still fixed upon the blue sky.

"yes."
though for what it's worth,
i only reserve devout faith
in doubt.
it came with age.

she played the queen in treehouse
games, and when we climbed into
dusty attics as children.

nothing's changed.
