I'm a Dollar I am

Cover Image

I am a Dollar Bill,

Crumpled and folded, and frolicking foward,

From pocket to pocket,

Hand to hand,

From girl to boy,

And woman to man,

I depend on no one,

Depended on by everyone,

I've seen this world,

I've been everywhere,

I'm what Johnny Cash was talking about,

I've paid for the insurance of the boy with cancer,

I've scattered the stage of an exoctic dancer,

I've bought the bullets for the dogs with rabies,

And I paid the ransom when they took your babies,

I am nomadic,

I'm the color of envy,

My life has no end,

And neither does my story,

I am a Dollar Bill,

And I will see you again.
