The Gloamy People (Poem)

Cover Image

There's no where to run, there's no where to hide,

When you get to this place, you'd best stay inside.

A wall can be a door and a door can be a ladder,

But the shadows in corners are what really matter.

They'll watch you move and they'll watch you stagnate,

Be very careful to not make them irate.

But these little creatures are not to be feared,

For they are hurt when people call them weird.

They just want to be liked, is that so much to ask?

Giving a hug should be an easy task.

They really are daunting with their big white eyes,

And they're black bodies make them creepy little guys.

Look past their appearance and I think you'll see,

These so-called "creepy guys" are just like you and me.
