Chapter 3 If Loneliness Was A Person Then We'd All Have A Friend

I was cold and I was able to see my breath. It was night time outside. I was scared and alone, I didn’t know where to go. I was starting to regret leaving my grandparents. I didn’t have a blanket all I had was a small poncho, so I put it on. I was so scared I decide to walk back home I was about 5 hours away from my home. I decided to turn back. Heading back to my house I thought would be the best idea. As I started walking back to my house a strong gust of wind hit me and then I heard a flapping noise. I looked up in the sky and I saw 3 white doves flying south towards Brazil. I began to think about my grandfather and how he had the look in his eye wondering what would had happen if he would had grabbed a root from the flying rock. I didn’t want that look in my eye.  I didn’t want to live my life wondering what if I had done this. I wanted to live my life with excitement. Everything does happen for a reason. Were the white doves a sign from God perhaps telling me to go after whatever it was I was after? Again I grabbed some grass and threw it up in the air, the winds were blowing south. I smiled I didn’t feel so lonely anymore I felt like a friend was watching over me, God.
