A View of Life from the Cliffs

VIEW OF LIFE FROM THE CLIFFS

As I sit upon the sweeping, leaping

Ever-steeping brush of cliff,

Taking note of such close and creeping death,

Where one can fall so swift,

I thought of life

To be amiss

The seagulls swoop and dive quite near,

Flying ever higher to the sky,

They float and roll without fear,

Skirting the edge o’er I peer,

Seeing this, danger clear, I wonder why…

And think of life

Like tumbling through an empty sky.
