The tightrope walker who forgot his balancing pole. (poem 2)

I saw a bird, today.

A raven, it was.

On the pause of traffic,

Shiny roofs spread upon the highway,

Like butter on bread.

Upon these greens, these yellows, these reds - it wandered, ever so lonely.

It stepped up, hesitant!

He is scared, like a tightrope walker who forgot his balancing pole.

This'll be interesting...

His masculine talons steadily prick the cold and cumbersome architecture,

Clank! Clank! Clank! Clank! (Clank)!

Radio? "Pffffff well pfffff how am pffffff I gonna get out of this shit? pfffffff."

The torn button pushed, off; silence for my friend.

At the very edge, edge of life, edge of time, crumbling beneath,

The salt and pepper on to the sandwich of fate.

He flew.

I later realised, birds have the ability to fly...
