1. Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Written by and starring Jason Segel, alongside Kristen Bell & Mila Kunis . This film is about a guy who is trying to get over his ex-girlfriend, after she leaves him for another man. This is on my last my because the main character is experiencing a lot of same things I do post-break up. There is light humor throughout, so your not just bummed out along with protagonist and most importantly the film reminds you that sometimes breakups are for the best.
2. 500 Days of Summer - Starring HitRecord's very own Joseph Gordon-Levitt (I Promise I'm not brown-nosing) and Zooey Deschanel. The film warns you from the get go that it isn't a love story, it's a story about love, which is the perfect way to describe it. Unlike your typical rom-com, 500 days of summer shows a much more realistic depiction of a relationship. The messages I get from it are: that can people change over time and so do feelings; plus you never know what is round the corner.
3. Wedding Crashes - Starring Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn and Rachel McAdams. Wedding Crashers is certainly more of an outright comedy than my other picks. This is one reason it's on the list, It makes me laugh and cheers me up. However, the main reason it's one of my post-break up films is because (Minor Spoiler) after Owen Wilson loses Rachel McAdams he becomes severely depressed. So, as with Forgetting Sarah Marshall I can relate to him, he then manages to come out this slump with the help of a friend.
