One evening, Jack sat at his computer, trying to conjure up a short (but witty), brief (but meaningful) text RECord, when all of a sudden there was a crackle of electricity, a wobbling of air and a loud bang, and there in front of Jack stood...Jack.

Jack #1 rapidly blinked his eyes in abstract disbelief, when Jack #2 said:

"Jack, I have come back in time to give you an idea for a RECord. It is an extraordinarily simple idea, but no-one else has yet thought of it! With this idea, you shall recieve innumerable recommendations and uncountable results, sprouting forth from just this one salient idea."

"Sounds good," said Jack #1. "What's the idea, then?"

Jack #2 whispered the idea in Jack #1's ear, seconds before he disappeared in an equally loud - but somewhat less impressive - electric crackle and pop.

Immediately, Jack #1 set about building his own time machine, and when he was done, he used it to travel back in time...

Jack was sat at his computer, trying to conjure up a short (but witty), brief (but meaningful) text RECord, when all of a sudden there was a crackle of electricity, a wobbling of air, a loud bang, and there in front of Jack stood...Jack.

Jack #1 was now Jack #2, and Jack #3 was now - technically - Jack #1.

This Jack #1 rapidly blinked his eyes in abject disbelief, when Jack #2 said:

"Jack, I have come back in time to give you an idea for a RECord. It is an extraordinarily simple idea, but pretty much no-one else has yet thought of it! With this idea, you shall recieve innumerable recommendations and uncountable results, sprouting forth from just this one salient idea."

"Sounds good," said Jack #1. "What's the idea, then?"

Jack #2 whispered the idea in Jack #1's ear, seconds before he disappeared in an equally loud - but somewhat less impressive - electric crackle and pop.

...all of a sudden there was a crackle of electricity...

..."one salient idea."

Basically, you could repeat this cycle over and over and over and over and over again, and never get to the actual idea.

(Which is, in fact, THE WHOLE IDEA!)
