bleeding mascara the poem

By bomonlu

Why have you left me here?
Why did you let my heart soar and my pulse leap?
Why did you let my lips quiver if this is what you planned for me?
I am clinging to the cold of the kitchen floor
Hoping to find some solace in the freeze it brings.
You have left me hurt and
You have left me pain in lieu of the love you once gave.
You left me here.
Here with salt water and mascara staining my cheek
I am here hoping you will come back to me,
I am here knowing you will never come back to me.
