The Girl and The Treehouse

A tale of a girl, I’m about to tell
In a heavenly nest, is where she did dwell
Raised high in the treetops
Her neighbours were birds
In the morning she’d wake to their singing, "chirp chirp"

Then one day, she was feeling a little unwell
She leaned out of the window to get some air
And like a bucket descending into a well
That girl from the treehouse
From the treehouse, she fell

Crash, bang, the breaking of branches
Snap, crack, through the air she danced
On the way down
Before finally hitting the ground

Face down, in the leaves with the ants
Confused, dazed, mind drawn a blank
As she lay there
In the dark on the cold, wet floor

Will she get back up?
Will she get back up again?
Will she ever climb the ladder again?
To the safety that lies behind the door
Will she get back up?
Will she get back up again?
Will she ever climb the ladder again?
Will she live to enter the treehouse once more?

Like a bucket descending into a well
That girl from the treehouse
From the treehouse, she fell

Crash, bang, the breaking of branches
Snap, crack, through the air she danced
On the way down
Before finally hitting the ground

Face down, in the leaves with the ants
Confused, dazed, mind drawn a blank
As she lay there
In the dark on the cold, wet floor

Will she live to enter the treehouse once more?
