INT. KITCHEN - DAY

A haggard female servant polishes individual grains and gently places them on a silver platter. A chef arrives and adds the finishing touches as a man servant is anxiously standing by. He’s dressed in black and white, wearing white gloves with a white cloth hanging over his arm.

MAN SERVANT
Hurry up. If she doesn’t get this in the next ten seconds, we’re all fired!

CHEF
(annoyed)
Mais ça doit être parfait aussi!

MAN SERVANT
Whatevs. Just give it to me.

The man servant grabs the silver platter and leaves the kitchen. He hurries down the hall towards the two large wooden doors where there are two men dressed in tuxedos standing by. The man servant stops at the door and calms himself. He nods and the two men in tuxedos open the doors.

INT. DINING ROOM - DAY, (CONTINUOUS)

The man servant enters the elaborately decorated dining room. We track the silver platter as we walks along a large dining room table. As he reaches the head of the table, he removes the silver lid and places the platter down on the table.

MAN SERVANT
Your entrée, madam.

A single bead of sweat slowly drips down the side of his face. His heart beats louder and louder.

Reveal a chicken sitting at the head of the table.

CHICKEN
Cluck cluck cluck

MAN SERVANT
But madam, this is what you’ve requested.

CHICKEN
Cluck cluck cluck!

MAN SERVANT
Yes, madam. I’m terribly sorry. I’ll send it back.

CHICKEN
(yelling)
CLUCK CLUCK!

The man servant jumps back and topples over a chair. The polished grains go flying.

DIRECTOR (O.C.)
Cut! Cut!

MAN SERVANT
(to the director)
I’m sorry.
(to the chicken)
I’m so sorry.

1ST AD
Let’s reset and go again.

The director heads over to the man servant and the 1st AD closely follows behind.

DIRECTOR
(to the man servant)
I need you to be more nervous. I’m not feeling it right now. Can you give me more nervous?
(to the 1st AD)
We need more sweat.

1ST AD
(yelling)
More sweat!

MAN SERVANT
More nervous, gotcha.

DIRECTOR
(to the chicken)
That was perfect.

CHICKEN
Cluck cluck cluck.

DIRECTOR
Yes, I know. I’m sorry. But he’s the producer’s son.

CHICKEN
Cluck cluck cluck.

The director turns to the 1st AD and without saying a word, the 1st AD gets on the walkie.

1ST AD
I need sides on set, ASAP.

WALKIE
Copy.

The film crew hurries to reset for the next take.

The chicken sits in her chair, surrounded by hair, make-up and wardrobe. The background behind the chicken fades to white and we pull out to reveal this chicken among dozens of other chickens clucking in a pen.
