This is a pamphlet that I put together for friends and family last year. As the tragedy in Haiti unfolds, In addition to generous contributions to the relief agencies working in Haiti, I encourage everyone to take steps to put some basic preparedness in place for yourselves and your families. As all those who monitor the relief effort in Haiti will learn again, the first 48 hours are crucial in the relief effort, personal disaster preparedness can "free-up" first responders to concentrate on those with greatest need. So having disaster preparedness supplies not only helps you and your family, but the larger community as well. I hope that you will find this pamphlet useful.
