Ode to a Booger
Why booger do you cling to my finger?
All I want is to flick you through the air.
Is it fear of flight that makes you linger?
All I want is for you to be elsewhere.
I flick and flick but still you don’t budge.
Like a sucker on an octopus,
Your fortitude is stout.
Perhaps you need encouragement or just a very small nudge.
So, I roll you up into a small ball of mush.
I flick once more, fling you into the air, where you land on my knee and gross me out.
