to be young [wwc#60]

By tori

i was born

armed to the teeth

with sure feet

i knew what

i wanted

all of my ideas

were diamonds

straight from

brain to paper

no editing

no censoring

pure and

perfect

right

true

new

everything rushing

through

me

chaos

confetti

clouds of coloured smoke

pillows exploding feathers

a marching band

parades

tigers and lions and

leopards

and

i hear

my own

voice

roar

my imagination

steadfast

how wonderful

to be the queen

of my own

adventure -

to wear

that

crown

how wonderful

to know no

different than

the

feeling

of always

being

in the right

place at

the right time

inside

my

skin.
