I don't even know where I was running
But it was okay.
I carried old phones in my backpacks. I wasn't sure why, but I knew that the plastic covered phone wires were comforting. They reminded me of the simple times. The 80s, the 90s. The times where we were coping with being so corded. But here I am, flabbergasted. I couldn't believe that the only thing in the distance was cornfields. Miles and miles of green stalks that were taller then me. All I wanted was to escape. To go to the keys, to get away from the cornfields. Perhaps then I could just let go and become less wired.
I want to become wireless, just like everyone else.
