Once you were the soul of the lonesome, dull night,
guiding ships towards you, the light.
You smiled with pride as they passed along,
for you were always standing strong.

Now you sit back, beside the sparkling sky,
we take some pictures as we pass you by,
but your smile is weak and you are starting to fall
and you hum to the ships that no longer recall.
