Bitter Darkness (Poem A Day)

When the darkness fell to your feet you picked it up,

not knowing what to do

but to cradle it as if it was something to adore

but all it was,

was saddness and pain,

and nothing more

looking down with fear, you stare at what the darkness has done

sweaty

hot

dizzy

spinning

spun

feeling a hectic current of pain in your veins

now polluted by the depression of your souls decay

dancing with the darkness,

you cursed your life with seeding panic to all your being

long you stood there,

wondering,

fearing,

drenched in tears coming out like a rolling tide

filling up your life with dispair

no where to hide

craving for happiness,

but all your getting is the taste of bitter darkness.
