Life is absurd, or in the very least disorderly. Sickness, happiness, love, opportunity and a slew of other pieces to life's puzzle find their spots in our lives at random moments. Does the fact that life is absurd and irrational and without a defined order devoid it of meaning, or actually make it mean all the more? As human beings, we are constantly trying to make sense of even the most senseless of circumstances in order to feel okay. With this theme, we have the opportunity to look at the ways in which we thrive within the chaos and derive our own meanings and purposes from those unique moments in time when everything falls into place.
Or, because Camus said it best, "I said that the world is absurd, but I was too hasty. This world in itself is not reasonable, that is all that can be said. But what is absurd is the confrontation of this irrational and the wild longing for clarity whose call echoes in the human heart."
