The goddess and the beast had met
upon the flowered field.
The goddess, astride her dragon's head,
promised not to yield.
Far away, yet still too close,
her lover vanquished tears.
He would not think of if she died,
he banished all these fears.
But such bravery was all for not,
her bloodied corpse still fell.
It was then he promised that for revenge
he'd damn himself to hell.
There upon the field that bloomed in ash,
the lover's life had ceased.
And upon the lover's poisoned heart,
the beast had made its feast.
