The Choice

Cover Image

For some reason, I keep letting people in

And then get punished as if it were a sin

But I don't see the good in a cold, closed life

Like pretending to be the loving wife

When all you feel is hate for the man

And no number of brilliant plans

Could save you from this prison cell

While you constantly wait for the recess bell

That is not how I want to survive

You may be living, but you're not alive

So don't you dare say, "Close your heart"

I'd rather be hurt than never start

To fall into this strange things we call love

I'd rather take part than watch from above
