Be Careful of the Hungry Ghost

Cover Image

I lurk on the edges of the world you see
Upon the fringes waiting for the glitter and thee
What do you want and for what do you care
Just take a moment to think it up in your head there
Oh as the ideas are forming for what you could need
My stomach does rumble and feeds off that greed
Now don’t get shy don’t think small
My hunger is great so please answer my call
The more that you buy the harder you cling
The greater my smile the fuller I can sing
Material items are all that you want
Look at how full my stomach is getting I shall flaunt
As your pile of possessions is all you can boast
You will soon find you’ve traded places and become the hungry ghost.
