I ate it up,

I sucked it dry

and I begged for your goodbye

a china doll wrapped up

in self pity

self loathing

and the agnozing fear

of the days that you'd no longer be here.

I teathered the thoughts

as they ran from me

their plight, ate away

timid, you see

a missing moment

beyond mossy stars

of yesterdays scars

belittled I'll never be

swimming aimlessly in

a confident sea

of retrospection

a comfort you'll never feel

but you cry out for

begging to heal.
