Sometimes when I shower, as the water falls around me, I open my lips. I let it fill my mouth and and the upper reaches of my throat until I can barely contain it. As it does I imagine it’s a scream that’s building and building until finally it erupts from me, shaking the foundations of WhoIAm and changing everyone that it touches, because to hear such a desperate shriek is to be reminded of our primal roots as doe-eyed prey animals…

But it’s not, and it doesn’t.

It’s just water and steam.
