Tin Fins (Swimming Poem)

Cover Image

I hide down here,

Masked by tin fins.

I sink behind the solitude in my salinary sactuary.

Cloaked by Darkness,

I am a drifting fortress,

Impervious to prying eyes.

But then You...

You come to me.

You come as you are,

Bare bones,

Skinny and Silly and so very Beautiful.

And you show me what it is like to live under the sun.

So I too, shed my metalic masquerade.

It takes me a while,

But soon enough, I am naked.

And then we swim,

And swim.

And swim.
