Broken Vases and The Flowers that Fall

Cover Image

Driving in this desert town

I feel the wolves and I hear them howl,

Broken like your mothers vase

You buried so she'd never find a trace

Im a vagrant softly crumbling,

You're the ever present humming,

Ticking from the clock in my head

I met a man and this is what he said

"The light you search for with a song,

Well, you've been shining here all along."

Time stirs up more dust than any I've ever known,

And searching for whiskey left me dry to the bone,

But fear will blind us all until we cant remember sight,

We search for illumination and forget our own light,

I lost myself in the devil's snare,

Shuffled my feet but I cant recall where,

Somehow I missed the light inside,

I may never truly heal but I'll be damned if I don't try.
