Ten to fourteen degrees celsius
Over-cast with scattered showers.
What more could we ask from March
Sure, February almost killed us off.
I stroll (comfortable pace) around Blacrock this morning
Down to the village shops, up past St. Michael's Church
And everyone, everywhere, are all so busy
Daily life, the healthy routine.
I smile and nod to all, umbrella swinging
Hot-cross buns still warm in a paper bag
Ready to be buttered, the kettle whistles
And the poplars are skeletons for a little while longer.
