Individual reality

Individual reality

She sits there swatting back the butterflies
That this world created to cover up all the lies
Her little tin heart cracks right down the center
Cos’ she knows that the world doesn’t care that she cries
And the burning in her mind is the product of reality
The pain that she gets from her individuality
She doesn’t want to feel any more
No she doesn’t want to feel this way
That’s why you can hear her say
Don’t let me wake up today
Don’t let me see the morning light
Just let me stop living tonight
But the wheels keep on turning
And her heart it’ll never heal
No matter how many lies they try to make real
She knows
Yeah she knows
That people walk around with their rose glasses on
Missing out on the greener side of life
Though it ain’t half bad on the outside it seems
Cos her little glass eyes don’t miss out on much
And her nimble little fingers well they will put you in your place
The words they write hold power and emotion
And the names on the pages she will try to erase
But her little tin heart well it will always ache
She doesn’t want to feel any more
No she doesn’t want to feel this way
That’s why you can hear her say
Don’t let me wake up today
Don’t let me see the morning light
Just let me stop living tonight
But the wheels keep on turning
And her heart it’ll never heal
No matter how many lies they try to make real
She knows
Yeah she knows
She’s like a little toy puppet with the strings all crossed
A few of them are missing
And more than likely lost
So she wobbles when she walks
No support to hold her steady
But in the end she’s only getting ready
For a miss-chance change
To break out of her cage
No she doesn’t want to feel this way
That’s why you can hear her say
Don’t let me wake up today
Don’t let me see the morning light
Just let me stop living tonight
But the wheels keep on turning
And her heart it’ll never heal
No matter how many lies they try to make real
