It was not madness that held me so tightly,

your presence was suffocating, not breathtakingly beautiful

squeezing any good left in me, so your conscience was clear

and I was the dragon, the werewolf

the thing eating away at your pretty,

you always wear the mask of nobility, of calm

buried your fear inside me, now winter does not seem 

so terrifying,

I am alone, I am alone, and my dear, I am lucky.
