And Now...The News

Cover Image

You know when they show celebrities or entertainent-based people in the news like; "Blah-Blah-Blah and Yada-Yada-Yada are officially calling it quits!" Or "Yada-Yada-Yada is pregnant! Will it be the Second Messiah?!" If these were announced on entertainment channels or shows, that's okay. That's appropriate. However when they are announced or discussed on a regular news program, does anyone else have this reaction? "How is this news?" I do.

This started as a joke to myself but now it's becoming a fear. What if someone watched the normal news? In which the stories were about people that went about their daily lives without a camera in their face or people pestering them for their signature and there were opening sentences like: "A woman was raped today." Or "A child was beaten severely." Someone watches this and their reaction is "How is this news?"
