"He," Not "She."

By visualxjinsei

I was born in a female body,
but I have a masculine brain.

I think of myself as male,
and I am my parents' 18 year old son named... "Kale."

My father's called me his son twice,
and those were the happiest moments of my life.

But everyday,
without fail,
I'm my mother's daughter... "Zoe," not "Kale."

I no longer argue,
I've tried to accept.

I know who I am,
there's no turning back.

I will be what I am,
they can say what they please.

But regardless of the form,
I'm still a "he,"
not a "she."

-------- Kale, the transgender man.
