Ladies and Gentlemen, as you may or may not know, hitRECord is gonna be making a TV Show! And now that we're about to start production together, I wanna go into a bit more detail about how we're gonna pay the Contributing Artists whose work is included on "hitRECord On TV."
The television business is a lot more complicated than any other business we've ventured into thus far. Most television production companies don't turn profits on a show for years. So our system of splitting profits won't work for the TV show because we don't want to wait years to pay our show's contributing artists.
That is why we have allotted $50,000 in the budgets of each of the show's 8 episodes to pay the contributing artists whose work is included in the show.
It's very simple: if some of your work is used in an episode, you will get a piece of that episode's $50,000. We will post Profit Proposals and there will be approximately two weeks of community discussion, just like we always do it.
If and when "hitRECord On TV" does turn a profit, those profits will be split 50/50 between hitRECord.org LLC and the contributing artists.
I really like to keep things transparent and have an open dialogue on hitRECord, so if there are any other questions I can answer, please write a comment.
Thanks again <3
