Hello! I (Matt Reilly) wrote a tiny story called Life's Too Short a while back. Then the creative duo of Giles Crawford and Mick Schubert very kindly turned it into a comic and sent it to me for my birthday (16th April). We've agreed to add it to Tiny Stories to see what happens. We hope it inspires someone else creatively. Feel free to turn it into something else!
The full original story that I wrote can be found on my short story blog, but is as follows:
Life's Too Short by Matt Reilly
She stared at his frail frame, his brittle bony body poking out of his hospital gown.
"There are two things that we can never have enough of," he said.
"Money and power?" she replied, smirking.
He didn't return her smile.
In a hoarse whisper, he said: "No, my dear … Time and love."
A tear rolled down his cheek. Then his head lolled on to his chest.
"Dad?" she said.
But he was gone.
UPDATE! The comic of my story has now been coloured by the talented HitRECord-er Kevin Maistros - you can view his remix at http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1298374
Also, Kevin Maistros has kindly provided a video guide to how he coloured the black and white comic orginally created by the talanted Giles and Mick - you can view the video at http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1298716
And Kevin also has plans to make Life's Too Short into a tiny film ... Excited doesn't even cover it. I'm over the moon! I love HitRECord!
