How peculiar, how sweet, how special. How novel.

A peculiar twist in the collar bone,
a spiraling turn of the knee,
it corresponds to the twisting wisp
of smoke around her eye.
They are unifying designs
in her off-kilter, unfiltered portrait.
/
As night draws in and we draw close,
I draw the lines on her
that I draw on myself:
The twirling twist, the whirling wisp,
the angles and curled bricks of the face.

"How endearing," she thinks,
"How novel."
