Daisy

By skitten

Hi, morning dew, dry
sky turning white
so well, I must stop
my breathing for a second look.

As the sun leaves,
that deceiving hook,
the ground turns
and I must submit
to this change.

I was told to welcome
this change,
but the last
was so heavy!

A weight on my skin
and sticky, too.

I find a blossom
and shake it quite feebly
and cry, "Do not bloom,
do not bloom!"
