There's something magical about the first night of summer. The pure, sizzling heat has dissipated and you're left with a thick, warm night. You toss and turn in bed. Looking outside the window, a beautiful view is born and you have to get up and see its entirety. You walk outside, feet bare on the pavement. You can feel the radiant sun still burning onto the ground. In the cool of night it feels good, relaxing. You walk out and sit on the swing near your house. Looking up at the sky, marvelling at the Gods. Every star shines bright and beautiful. The moon an enormous cousin, sitting and watching all its family twinkle and sparkle so far away. And ever so quietly you slip back inside and smoothly fall into your dreams.
