Throwback Poetry 3

By HKYwill

He stepped into the sea a selfish man
His heart still beating in his hand
Pulled under the waves he met his grave
And brought sorrow to all the land

The sun burned out and the sky collapsed
Rivers ran red as the rain came down
The stars fell into the sea
And the selfish man cries “Rescue me”

But the stars cried: “WE FALL”

And they fell with such determination
Man stands in reverence, in awe
With broken bodies, death to all
The falling stars destroyed us all

He swam to the shore a selfish man
Buried his heat to free his hand
Now he reaches for hearts untainted
Bringing sorrow to all the land

The sun burned out and the sky collapsed
Rivers ran red as the blood rained down
The sky fell into the sea
While the heart in the sand still beats…
