I hope I'm doing this right. This is one of the first sonnets I wrote. It's inspired by an Aerosmith song. I'm a tad shy about it since this was my first one....
The wind blows a steady breeze.
A smile creeps upon her face.
Leaves fall from the trees.
He zips his hoodie up.
They stand in the rooftop.
She takes a picture.
Their eyes meet and time stops.
He says he'll miss her.
They lie down side by side.
She turns away.
A tear falls of which she trys to hide.
He whispers, "It'll be okay"
He has to depart, she begins to cry
He kisses her one last time, the hard goodbye...
(Note: I didn't follow iambic pentameter, I wasn't really trying to...)
