Thank you Joe for asking yourself this question, it made me reflect and think about it too.
I've had a low time for a while, some of you know, some don't but it doesn't matter. I'm slowly on my way up at the moment and seeing Joe's reply to "Why do I hit record?" made me feel something inside. Not only because it was him, it could have been anybody making that record, but because it was honest and sincere.
I've been around here off and on for a while but I haven't really logged in, grcwriter sent me the link and told me she was awe struck by Joe's words so I watched it and I felt the same thing. Joe, seriously, dare to put up more of your RAW material. It shows the true you, it shows Joe, not Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Due to the fact you did this, you made me reflect on why I hit record (and why I haven't) and you made me want to answer your recording as well as making one myself as well.
Thank you for inspiring me to reflect on why I hit record and what "hit record" really means. Thank you Jolynne (was it?) That started this collaboration as well! :)
