The superstar and the paparazzi.

By jvv

His eagle-eyes can spot them
In places far and wide.
He sees them in the bushes.
He knows he can not hide.

They jump at him with fervor,
Their cameras flashing bright.
No matter if it's morning
Or the middle of the night.

At red carpet premieres,
He doesn't mind at all.
He smiles, he waves,
He does their bid and call.

But even in his free time,
They stick to him like glue.
When he wants some privacy,
There's nothing he can do.

So now he wears dark glasses.
Keeps his hand before his face.
The paparazzi mutter, grumble.
Such a jerk. He's a real disgrace.

But the superstar doesn't surrender.
He knows he is not wrong.
Everyone has a right to some alone time.
He knew that all along.
