Winter poem #1
All the worlds a wild white
A glow in the mooncast night.
The shadows like raven’s claws
Dark cast ‘pon the ground.
And silence so heavy
All breathing it drowns.
The wind whips a whistlin’
Piling the snow in a drift.
A dark slush it coaxed,
Your steps all to miss.
And holding your arms to your sides deathly still
Your heart0 clenches fast to strengthen your will
And newly restored,
Your courage alight
You venture on through the icy cold night.
A glow in the mooncast night.
The shadows like raven’s claws
Dark cast ‘pon the ground.
And silence so heavy
All breathing it drowns.
The wind whips a whistlin’
Piling the snow in a drift.
A dark slush it coaxed,
Your steps all to miss.
And holding your arms to your sides deathly still
Your heart0 clenches fast to strengthen your will
And newly restored,
Your courage alight
You venture on through the icy cold night.
